Dallas - Cell Site Technician

Technician will be responsible for answering in bound calls from market personnel working on cell site expansions. SUMMARY Manages Wireless and RF Communication projects to bring about successful completion. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Manages material, labor, and the customer from the initial design and estimate of the project through completion. Manages multiple projects concurrently. Ensures that projects are completed on schedule, within expected budget, and equal or exceed the customers expectation for contractor performance, design, quality, and administration. Demonstrates work experience in installation of RF and Wireless networks; Distributed Antennae Systems; PCS and Cellular Coverage; Wi-Fi and Public Safety Coverage systems. Attends job walks and reviews drawings. Completes and reviews project estimates or approves estimates completed by others. Obtains necessary permits and licenses. Prepares project start packages which include an accurate and complete collection of all relevant information necessary to effectively start, administrate, and account for the complete project. Reviews package with responsible Lead Technician or Foreman and develops a work plan with same delineating labor hours, task hurdles, and benchmark estimates. Engages subcontractors and ensures that they possess adequate insurance as defined by the company's subcontractor guidelines. Purchases material for projects and reviews job-related accounts payable invoices. Schedules and assigns field personnel, in concert with the Dispatcher or Operations Field Manager, to staff projects with an effective blend of technical skills and evaluates cost of labor. Maintains an up-to-date analysis of project status including tasks complete, estimated time and cost to complete project, and current cost status. Approves labor time sheets. Visits projects regularly to ensure continued productivity, quality of installation, and profitability. Reviews change orders and contract adjustments with the customer to ensure mutual agreement on the scope-of-work and any additional costs of installation. Ensures that customer signatures are obtained prior to the commencement of additional or altered work, without exception. Provides information to the Project Accountant. Oversees production and distribution of as-builts, labels, test results, and other project documentation. Maintains all required documentation in job files. Issues all customer invoices and manages the receivables/collections process to enhance cash flow. Complies with requirements of the company's Injury and Illness Prevention Program and other related Safety Programs and ensures compliance by field personnel under his/her supervision. Spends time "on-call" in rotation with peers, as required. Accessible by pager or telephone to respond to customers on a twenty-four hour basis. SUPERVISES up to fifty employees.
